Fall is a good time for local music

Yesterday I posted about upcoming books, and it seems only appropriate to post about a few of the fall block parties ahead:

  • Saturday, September 10th – Lyn-Lake Oktoberfest features Mystery Palace, Marijuana Deathsquads, and more.  Free.
  • Saturday, September 24th – Nick & Eddie Block Party in the coolest alley in Minneapolis.  BNLX (which I blogged about here) and The Idle Hands (which I blogged about here) are both on the bill. $5
  • Saturday, September 24th – Jagerfest 2011 at Clubhouse Jager with Sexcat as the headliner. $5
  • Saturday, October 1st – 274 Music Fest is also in the Nick & Eddie alley, and we have another great local lineup: Skoal Kodiak, Me & My Arrow, Night Moves, Gospel Gossip, Hot Ashes, Tentacle Boy Trio, and Parachute Empire
These are just a few shows that are on my radar. What are you looking forward to this fall?
