MarketingMama recently posted some great ideas for family outings on her blog. As I read I realized something. I never take Ladybug to anything you need to buy tickets for. And I rarely shell out money for anything we do. Perhaps you’re like me? If so, here are some events you may want to know about:
- Preschool Playdate at the Science Museum of Minnesota – Under fives get in free on Mondays from 9a.m. to Noon for hands-on activities and theater programs. (Also, I can’t make it frugal but this Saturday, May 14th, is Make Day at SMM, which looks awesome.)
- Debra Fraser’s On the Day You Were Born by Heart of the Beast at the Hosmer Library – I love this book, and I think there is no one better to create a puppet version of it than HOBT. Saturday, May 14th at 10:30a.m.
- Artypants at the Walker – Kids under twelve are free, and this event is aimed at ages 3-5. The theme for May and June is Wild Things, and the next opportunity to check it out is May 24th.
- Marsha Wilson Chall at the Red Balloon – The author of Pick a Pup reads from her book. It’s a great way to celebrate National Pet Month with your kids. Saturday, May 14th at 10:30a.m.
